Who We Are
At SHC, we believe that all children deserve an equal footing in the world, and share a common desire to spark positive change in their communities.
This is why we invite local students and teenagers to make a difference in the lives of their less fortunate counterparts across the world. We aim to inspire our own children to engage in volunteering activities and help raise funds for rehabilitating homeless and/or disabled children. We provide valuable, life changing experiences to students from the Long Island area, developing their giving hearts through both charity-related events. Recently, we have also sponsored our local teenagers to engage in various local environmental service and awareness projects.

In 2016, a group of concerned parents made the commitment to do everything possible to provide less fortunate children with equal opportunities at education, health, and growth into independent adults.
Orphans and disabled children are the most neglected demographic in China with practically no support from their extended families nor the local community. They live in the shadow of government-sponsored institutions with bare minimums: no access to modern world, no real education, no individual advocacy. When they turn 18 years old, they will no longer be eligible for any welfare or assistances. Without the ability to work, most are unable to survive on the streets.

While our central goal remains to provide for the education and medical assistance for disabled children, we've taken many routes toward fostering a community-outreach spirit among our local children and students.

Our charity is the culmination of both collective passion and extensive research. We aim to inspire our children to cherish what they have in abundance, and share even that which they lack. There are parts of this world where young kids are desperate for help, desperate for food, and desperate for education. Together, our children can accomplish the daunting. They will be at the forefront of fundraising, organizing charity events, and day-by-day volunteering.
